I've been doing author visits for nine years and love them. Please contact me for more details.
Thank you to all the staff and pupils at St Mary Redcliffe Primary School in Bristol for a really lively, exciting World Book Day and for permission to use this photo.
I had a great time at Birmingham High Street Waterstones on Saturday 27th August, 2011. Moose and I were joined by lots of lovely children who made some amazing Moose cut-outs and did some brilliant colouring.
I had some lovely chats with Hebe and other children about books, reading and writing.
Devinder came along with her family and coloured in the picture of Annika and Moose beautifully. Her dad was convinced that the duck was going to eat Moose! (He doesn't, honest.)
George and Harry came along to choose some books with their dad. We had a lovely time, colouring and chatting about books.
Thank you so much to all the children and parents who made the event such fun. And thanks to Ben and Matt and Anne-Marie at Waterstone's for being such great hosts.
Happy reading!
I can't wait for Birmingham Young Readers Festival this year and on Friday 27th May, I'll be doing two events: in Druid's Heath library in the morning and Wylde Green library in the afternoon.
During lunch, I'm being interviewed for Stories from the Web, which will then be available to listen to any time online.
