Welcome and thank you for visiting my site. I'm a children's author who likes to tell warm and engaging stories with my picture books and early readers. I believe that good story-telling should be at the heart of what we write whether it's fiction or non-fiction, and whether it's pure entertainment or dealing with sensitive subjects such as consent, bereavement, serious illness or loneliness (which I've tackled in recent books).

Please have a look around and get in touch via the contact page if you have any questions...

Ask First, Monkey! (illustrated by Abigail Tompkins; Jessica Kingsley Publishers, UK and US, 2020) is out now!

Meet Monkey. Tickletastic Monkey. He's the best tickler in the world, ever; even his mum says so. And there's nothing he loves more than tickling ALL his friends at playtime!  But what happens if some of his friends don't want to be tickled?

A playful introduce to consent and boundaries for 3-6 years olds. Watch the stop-motion animation version of the story here:

Don't Panic, Annika! is now a BSL Signed Story!

The Royal Association for Deaf People has done a signed story for Don't Panic, Annika! Click here or on the picture to watch.
